All praise is due to Allah for all
the blessings He showers upon us.
Alhamdulillah, it is with Allah wills that we today reach to the day of Eid in
the month of Syawal. A day that marks the end of Ramadhan. Eid
Mubarak!
We enjoy the success we achieved and feel grateful for the help that Allah granted us by facilitating our worship in Ramadhan. Those days and nights have been a season overflowing with Allah’s mercy and gifts. Muslim congregations spent the nights glorifying Allah and reciting the Quran. Many supplications were uttered; many eyes were filled with tears. Supportive atmosphere for one to become a better Muslim.
Ramadhan will surely be missed!
It is said that Eid Al-Fitr is a day of joy, acts of worship,
thanksgiving to Allah, unity, and spiritual provision. But
remember, happiness and joy during Eid must be accordance to what Allah desire.
"...Allah desires ease for you, not your discomfort. He desires you to fast the whole of the month, and that you may magnify Him for giving you His guidance, and that you may give thanks..." (Al-Baqarah 2:185)
Alhamdulillah.
Take a moment to reflect on what had the journey of Ramadhan takes us to?
Even little changes.
One might now feel easier to wake up for fajr prayer. Other might feel that the month of Ramadhan teach them to eat healthy, be more sensitive to other people (especially the unfortunate), controlling anger, being nice to their neighbour and many more..the list could go on. Different people had different changes in Ramadhan which some people like to call it as a month of tarbiyyah. Tarbiyyah itself is an ongoing process that increase and change us for a better. So it doesn't stop when Ramadhan ends,right?...right!
I find it helpful to jot it down somewhere you could always see, like a sticky note, so it keeps on reminding you to continue the good deeds.
That is why Allaah Says, after prescribing fasting for His slaves, what means: “…That you may become righteous.”[Quran 2: 183]
Referring back to Eid, the day of Fitrah. I
personally feel that this day is a reminder from Allah for us to reflect on how
our life that we are living follows our fitrah which is islam. Do we live
according to our purpose of life that Allah clarifies to us in the Quran; as
someone who submit to Him (51:56) and as a caliph on this earth (2:30)? Do we
as a Muslim revive ourselves and take islam as a whole in our life?
Allah
said in surah Al-baqarah (2:208)
“O you, who believe! Enter perfectly in Islam (by obeying all the rules and regulations of the Islamic religion) and follow not the footsteps of Shaitan(Satan). Verily! He is to you a plain enemy”
“So set you (O Muhammad) your face towards the religion of pure Islamic (worship none but Allah Alone) Allah's Fitrah, with which He has created mankind. No change let there be in Khalq-illah, that is the straight religion, but most of men know not.” (Ar-Rum,30:30)Reflect on the word of Allah...
InsyaAllah dear readers, indeed Allah is close, turn to Him, ask help from Him. May Allah make us among the people of Taqwa.
“Oh turner of the hearts (Allah, the most High) keeps our hearts firm on your religion and makes us steadfast in obedience to You”
May Allah forgive us for our wrong sayings and sins and guide us to the straight path.
With Love,
